Suggested composition at Hampstead Heath
- Where to stand
- Meadow paths, pond edges, or spots where light filters through the trees.
- Composition
- Keep your subject small and let the vast meadows or woods take centre stage. Backlight that makes hair and grass glow feels cinematic.
Tips
- It's huge, so plan your spots on a map beforehand
- Paths get muddy, so wear comfortable shoes
- Respect swimmers' privacy around the bathing ponds
Overview
Hampstead Heath is a sprawling, hilly park in north London. With meadows, woodland and ponds, it's a place for slow cinematic videos and lifestyle shoots in nature that hardly feels like a city.
- Wild landscape of meadows and woodland
- Varied locations, from ponds to footpaths
- Especially beautiful in the autumn colours
